MOUNT KILIMANJARO

Mount Kilimanjaro, standing at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet), is Africa’s highest peak and one of the most famous trekking destinations globally. Located in Kilimanjaro National Park, this dormant volcano features diverse ecosystems that change dramatically as one ascends.
Kilimanjaro has several trekking routes, the most popular include:
Machame Route:takes 6-7 days
Lemosho Route:taking 7-8 days.
Rongai Route: takes about 6-7 days.
Flora and Fauna:
only hardy plants and glaciers survive. Wildlife includes monkeys, elephants, and various bird species.

Mount Meru, located within Arusha National Park, reaches 4,566 meters (14,980 feet) and is the second-highest mountain in Tanzania. It is often considered a training ground for Kilimanjaro climbers due to its challenging terrain and stunning views.
Trekking Experience:
The trek typically takes 3-4 days, offering a mix of forest trails and rocky ascents. The hike to the summit rewards trekkers with spectacular views of Kilimanjaro, especially during sunrise.
Flora and Fauna:
The mountain is rich in biodiversity, with lush forests teeming with wildlife. Visitors might encounter buffaloes, monkeys, and various bird species, including the colorful Hartlaub’s turaco.

UDZUNGWA MOUNTAINS

The Udzungwa Mountains are part of the Eastern Arc Mountains and are renowned for their biodiversity. With the highest peak reaching 2,576 meters (8,415 feet), they are often referred to as the “Galapagos of Africa” due to the unique flora and fauna.
